The Problem with Samsung’s Exynos Octa Tablet Plans

galaxy tab lineup

Rumors are that Samsung has a new lineup of tablets in the pipeline called the GT-P3200, GT-P5200 and GT-P8200, all of which are expected fall under the Galaxy Tab umbrella.  No word yet on specs, but I would expect Samsung to build in their new 8 core processor with Exynos 5 Octa.  The problem with this new 8 core processor is that Samsung more than likely will price themselves out of the market.  The three new Samsung tablets could be a great new addition to the Galaxy Tab family, but if they are priced too high, it’s not going to matter how fast the processor is – no one’s going to buy it.  On the high end tablet spectrum you have the iPad Mini, and the soon to be 128GB iPad.  The cheaper alternative will default down to the Kindle Fire.  Where does that leave these new Samsung tablets?
