So did you notice that the Kindle Fire now has 33% of the Android tablet market worldwide? That number climbs to a whopping a 56% when you isolate just the United States. But for some reason, there isn’t a whole lot of buzz surrounding the Kindle Fire. Instead, the conversation is being overshadowed by Apple (AAPL) and their upcoming 128GB iPad 4. Looking across the globe, the Android tablet market has an interesting spread of products. The Nook, for example, comes in at 10 percent of the Android tablet market space followed by Samsung Galaxy Tab with 9 percent, and the Nexus 7 with 8 percent. As you can see, Amazon (AMZN) is starting to runaway with the Android tablet market which could be proving a long standing point about tablets other than the iPad, in order to succeed you need a content ecosystem. And Amazon definitely has that base covered.
