Official Nexus 7 Dock Video Leaked, Release Date Still Unknown

Could this be the official Nexus 7 dock we’ve been waiting for?  Oh wait, even it is, it looks like we have more waiting ahead of us.

Google’s Nexus 7 tablet is not only one of the best selling tablets on the market, but it’s also in a state of rapid transition.  Initially, the Nexus 7 launched in a 8GB ad 16GB model only.  But then the 8GB Nexus 7 was discontinued and replaced with a larger 32GB Nexus 7 model.  In the Google Play store, you now only have the option to purchase the 16GB and 32GB WiFi only Nexus 7, and the 32GB with cellular data.

The Google (GOOG) Nexus 7 has been on the market since the middle of this summer, but we have yet to see an official Nexus 7 dock from Asus.  That is until now!  Apparently, a video of the official Nexus 7 dock by Asus has been released on YouTube, but without any indication as to when the dock will be coming to market.

The Nexus 7 dock in the video below appears to be authentic as the back of the box shows “made by Asus”.  And then we see the official manual to the Nexus 7.  Finally, about a minute into the video we actually get to see the Nexus 7 dock.  You can see the micro USB port, headphone jack, and the Asus logo.  You can also clearly see the pogo-pin support in the drop in portion of the dock which means you don’t need any cables to get your Nexus 7 dropped in and working properly.

But just because Asus hasn’t officially released their Nexus 7 dock, doesn’t mean you can’t get your hands on one.  Amazon has a few Nexus 7 docking stations that are priced between $15 and $25 with pretty strong ratings across the board.
