Google Sends Out News Conference Invite For Android 4.2, Manta Tablet Release

Google has no intention of being left out of the technology news conference frenzy that’s upon us.  So, they’ve decided the join the ranks of Apple’s iPad Mini news conference on October 23rd and Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 event on October 29th and send out their own invite for an event that will take place in NYC on October 29th as well.

But Google decided to take direct aim at stealing the thunder from Microsoft’s news conference which is being held on San Francisco on the same day (October 29th) where they’ll be announcing their Windows Phone 8.

    • possible HSPA+ (3G) support
  • LG Nexus 4 phone
    • quad-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm APQ8064 Snapdragon processor
    • 4.7-inch 1280 x 768 display
    • 2GB RAM
    • 16GB storage
    • 8-megapixel rear-facing camera (and 1.3-megapixel front-facing)
    • 2100mAh battery
  • Nexus 10 Android tablet (code named: Manta)
    • a massive 2560 x 1600 (16:10) screen resolution
    • Android 4.2
    • 300 PPI compared to the iPad 3′s 264 PPI
