Windows 8, Microsoft’s latest and greatest Windows Operating System, is set to be released to the general public sometime later this month. And as you can probably imagine, the Windows 8 OS is primed for tablet and mobile use (at least I hope it is, for Microsoft’s sake).
Well… whether it was intentional or accidental, four promo / demo videos of Window 8 have made their way to the web for all the world to see. Now I wouldn’t necessarily call these Windows 8 promo videos a leak because, as you’ll see in the Windows 8 videos below, these are pretty high quality commercial grade productions – not something that someone threw together in a basement, so to speak.
It is clear, after watching all of these Windows 8 promo videos, that Microsoft has primed Windows 8 for tablet use.
The only question will be whether or not app developers come in and build on the Windows 8 platform in large scale.
But regardless, these Windows 8 videos at least give us a sneak peak at what we can expect from the new operating system.
As someone who’s been a longstanding fan of Microsoft, I hope and pray that Windows 8 doesn’t go the way of some of the most recent releases from Microsoft which have been complete flops.
Let’s talk about Windows 8 in the comments below.
Do you think Microsoft has a big hit here with Windows 8? Is it just going to flop? And do you think developers will build apps in large scale for Windows 8 tablets and mobile phones?
Here’s the four Windows 8 videos that have been “leaked” this morning:
