The iPad Mini has been talked about an awful lot lately. And now, coming straight out of China, we have news that the iPad Mini is officially under production. And more than likely, the correct perspective to have with this is that the iPad Mini is under mass production. To the degree that, as we’ve seen with so many Apple product launches in the past, production just cannot stand up to demand.
News about the iPad Mini production machine getting underway in China came from WSJ who reported that Asian suppliers for Apple has begun mass producing the new iPad Mini that comes in at 7.85 inch. All of this is a very uncommon position for Apple as they are, with the iPad Mini, no longer setting the trend or defining a market, but instead reacting to the recent success of Google’s Nexus 7 and Amazon’s Kindle Fire and Kindle Fire HD tablets.
It is widely expected, based on previous rumors, that Apple will be holding an iPad Mini press conference on October 10th, which is next week.
