iPad Mini invites, or more technically speaking, the invites to the news conference that will announce the iPad Mini, are reportedly set to go out on October 10th with the conference itself going down on October 17th.
So let’s see, the 17th is a Wednesday… upon which Apple would start taking pre orders for the iPad Mini on October 26th, the following Friday? And depending on the logistical infrastructure that Apple has been able to establish, we could see the iPad Mini go out to 25 or more countries in single day.

The rumor about the iPad Mini invites comes from none other than Fortune who, citing a “major Apple investor, said the iPad Mini will be here just in time for the Christmas shopping season.
And contrary to my prediction above about the release date of the iPad Mini being October 26th, Fortune believs the smaller iPad will hit the shelves by November 2nd.
Previous speculation about the iPad Mini also put the expected price range to be somewhere around $249, which far exceeds other 7 inch tablets such as the Nexus 7 ($199), the Kindle Fire ($159) and the Kindle Fire HD ($199).
So will you be one of the millions of people who’ll go ahead and reserve an iPad mini during the pre-sale launch?
