Amazon’s first generation Kindle Fire has the honor of being the #1 best selling item for nearly a year.  Not only was it the best selling item in the technology category, but the first generation Kindle Fire dominated all items.  In fact, it was the best selling item ever in the history of the online retailer.

But there’s a new king on the e-commerce giant’s website and it’s called the Kindle Fire HD.  More specifically, it’s the 7 inch model of the Kindle Fire HD.  Not to be confused with the 8.9 inch Kindle Fire HD, or the 8.9 inch LTE version.

Oh no… the 7 inch Kindle Fire HD is dominating them all as the new best selling item on Amazon.

What’s new and interesting about this 7 inch version is you can get it in both a 16GB model and 32GB model.  The higher end 32GB model obviously gives you more space for cloud storage and retrieval – something customers are raving about so far.

The new line of Kindle Fire HD’s were announced by Jeff Bezos, Amazon’s founder & CEO, on September 6th and was available for pre order that same day.  And just a week later, on September 14th, the 7 inch Kindle Fire HD as released and shipped to customers [ref: Wikipedia].

Ever since that day, the 7 inch Kindle Fire HD has racked up an impressive 590 reviews with a 3.7 out of 5 star rating from customers.  Basically, customers are loving their new 7 inch Kindle Fire HD.
