The Fake iPad Mini Market (Video)

Straight out of China (perhaps even from Samsung), comes a fake iPad Mini, or as the person in the video calls it an “iPad Mini dummy”.

First, let me say that fake iPad Mini in the video is for sale somewhere in China for $13 USD.  But it took me only 2 seconds on Ebay to find similar fake iPad Mini’s for $26 USD.

This video shows an iPad Mini mock up that has some amazingly detailed specs.  Now whether the build of the mockup is from leaked parts or just rumored specs is something that is not known.

The current consensus is that we’ll have another even from next month (October) where they will present to us the first iPad Mini.  However, as of today, nothing is confirmed.

This an impressive dummy unit of the iPad Mini however, with a back casing that is either a leaked piece of the real iPad Mini, or built to specs based on rumors.

The iPad Mini in the video is a 7.85 inch display with a slim bezel down both sides of the screen, front and back rear facing cameras, and Apple’s new Lightning connector.

To top it off, you can buy one of these iPad Mini dummies in China for $13 USD.

The person in the video mentioned how heavy this particular fake iPad Mini is.  But I’m guessing that’s due to the manufacturing material used in the fake iPad Mini.

Also, there is a comparison of the thickness of this mock up to the iPhone 4.

The person in the video mentions how much thicker it is, but if this mock up is built to spec, I’m of the thought that the iPad Mini is a relatively thin iPad and something that would be very comfortable holding in your hand.

But again, the mention of the weight is something I would attribute to the manufacturing material used in the fake iPad Mini.

What do you think of the iPad Mini dummy?

And do you think we’ll see the real iPad Mini announced from Apple this month?
