This side by side comparison of the Galaxy Nexus running Android Jelly Bean OS vs the iPhone 5 running iOS 6 may actually shock you when you see just how fast and smooth Nexus is running next to iPhone 5.
The comparisons are, at several points, nominal at best. There are some features such as home screen customization that are not really fair to compare because it’s more personal preference and brand loyalty than anything else – performance isn’t really relevant.
People who love the iPhone and iOS most likely wouldn’t be caught dead with an Android device anyway,.
But there are other points of comparison where the difference is shocking, to say the least.
One of these points is the comparison between Siri and Android’s new Google Now.
Siri, at times, doesn’t even render a result while Android’s Google Now fires off information in a flash as soon as you speak into the phone.
Another feature I like about the new Android OS is the fluidity and speed of the web browser vs. Safari on iOS 6.
Android’s Jelly Bean web browser seems a whole lot faster, more crisp, and performs with a much faster response time than the iPhone 5 and iOS 6.
