Apple could be getting ready to put the nail in the coffin for a whole lot of tablet makers in the 7 inch tablet space.  News is spreading that Apple could be looking at a price tag of only $249 for the iPad mini.  At that price point, it would be a pretty good assumption to say that Apple would be dropping a nuclear bomb on the 7 inch tablet market.  If someone is willing to spend $199 for a Kindle Fire tablet, then surely they would be willing spend $50 more for an iPad Mini.  And this could also explain the aggressive marketing we see from Google for their new Nexus 7 tablet.  Google is promoting the Nexus 7 from the front page of Google.com, on nearly every pageview I see on the web, and billboards all over NYC.  Google knows that something big is coming with the iPad Mini, so they are trying to capitalize on the current “eye ball equity” that’s available at the moment.  At $249, will you be standing in line for the iPad Mini?
