Google just released the Nexus 7 Android tablet in Germany, Spain, and France and can now be purchased via the Google Play store in those countries. What’s funny though is that the price (in non-US dollars) is the exact number as it’s US dollar counterpart: €199 for the 8GB model and €249 for 16GB variant for Germany, France and Spain (and £159, £199 in the U.K.). Whoever’s in charge of currency conversion at Google is either a genius at brand marketing campaigns, or will be fired for making this kind of mistake. Nonetheless, the Nexus 7 tablet is now available in these countries.
