When it comes to Apple product launches, heresay is our only tool to piece together information and make predictions.  However, a general consensus is building among those who follow Apple that there will in fact be two separate news conferences for the iPhone 5 and the iPad Mini.  The iPhone 5 is expected to be announced by Apple at a news conference on September 12th with the new iPhone available in stores on September 21st.  AT&T and Verizon employees have both received vacation blackout dates from September 21st – September 30th.  And for the iPad Mini, multiple sources are confirming that Apple will hold a second news conference in October to announce the iPad Mini, a 7.85 inch version of the iPad and an answer to the recent successful launches of tablets such as the Kindle Fire and Google Nexus 7.
