Reporters are receiving invites from Amazon to a news conference that will be held on September 6th, 2012 in a airport hangar in Santa Monica, California.
It’s been nearly one year since the first Kindle Fire was introduced by Amazon. Nearly overnight, the Kindle Fire became the hottest selling Android tablet mostly due to Amazon’s unparalleled access to content such as movies, books, and of course the merchandise. Reporters have been receiving invites from Amazon to come to a news conference that will be held in an airport hangar in Santa Monica, California. Without any details as to what the news conference will entail, it seems only obvious that we’ll see a new Kindle Fire 2 introduced and quite possibly a 10 inch Kindle Fire tablet as well. The invite that journalists have been receiving simply says “”Please join us for an Amazon Press Conference.”
The fall is ramping up to be one of the biggest in tech history. Apple is expected to release the iPhone 5 in September and an iPad Mini in October; Microsoft is expected to release their Surface Tablet on October 26th, and now we have Amazon ready to jump into the pool with a Kindle Fire 2 in the first part of September. So what are your expectations for the Amazon news conference?
