Samsung reportedly sold 2.4 million tablets during the Q2 2012. But court documents presented in today by Samsung shows that the real number of tablets sold was only 37,000. To say that Samsung’s Galaxy Tab sales have been exaggerated would be a bit of an understatement. Wait, actually it would be a massive understatement. The court documents presented by Samsung in their battle with Apple over accused copyright infringements show that Samsung has a major problem with their balance sheets. Even more striking news than the discrepancy in figures is the chart above that compares iPad sales with those of Samsung. If you’ve ever had any doubt who the king of the tablet market is, this chart should settle the issue. In fact, this chart tells me that there might not even be a tablet market, just an iPad market. But then again, the Kindle Fire is Amazon’s best selling item so we can’t immediately discredit all other tablets.
