Does this mean Amazon is getting ready for the 10″ Kindle Fire?
Amazon has thrust the 9.7″ Kindle DX into a rapid fire sale, dropping the price of the 3G enabled Kindle e-Ink reader by a whopping 29% (or $110 off) putting the price on this ultra Kindle reader at only $269. This is obviously while supplies last, and begs the question of why Amazon is looking to dump these 10″ Kindle readers so quickly? One reason this could be happening is that Amazon is getting ready to launch a 10″ Kindle Fire tablet and doesn’t want an excess inventory of Kindle DX’s laying around the warehouse. This wouldn’t be the first time rumors have been circulating that Amazon is readying a 10 inch Kindle Fire Android tablet – back in June PC World was spreading some 10″ Kindle Fire rumors around as well.
Regardless, the point is right now you can get an amazing deal on the largest, fastest, 3G enabled Kindle e-reader, the Kindle DX, for only $269, saving $110 off the original price.
