When it comes to tablets, we all know that the iPad is at the top of the heap.  In fact, it’s not even close!  And as it should be (in my opinion) since Apple is the one who literally defined the tablet computer.  But when it comes to iPad sales, what I love about Apple is there strategy of continuing to push older generation models even when the latest models are released. And in the case of The New iPad, this is having a great impact on the price of the previous generation model – the iPad 2.  For those of you who don’t want to drop at least $500 on The New iPad, you can pick up the iPad 2 from Amazon for (last checked) a cool $340 for the 16GB WiFi model.  This is actually another factor of “genius” from Apple.  They can release new models of their iPad and iPhone, and have people lining up around city blocks waiting to get their hands on one.  While simultaneously continuing strong sales on previous models.  No sooner does the price of a previous model iPhone or iPad drop, then the sales volume of that device has a resurgence.  Brilliant – if you ask me.
