Just like it does currently with Twitter, Apple is expected to announce a deeper and more direct integration of Facebook into iOS 6. The announcement is expected to come from Apple at the upcoming WWDC which takes place June 11 – 15, 2012. Facebook is relying on this announcement from Apple, it seems, as a way to turn the media’s attention away from their recently bad publicity surrounding the Facebook IPO (NASDAQ: FB, currently $25.87, down 3.83%), and even more recently, their patent lawsuit with Yahoo. Aside from the PR benefits, if the integration actually improves the performance of Facebook on the iPhone & iPad, then users would be ecstatic. Facebook has yet to hit a home run with iPhone & iPad users. And if people access Facebook in a way that doesn’t actually suck, then I think we’ll a much brighter future for the social network. We’ll at least have something positive to talk about for a little while.
