Since that their iPhone and Android app has allowed them to elevate to the second place position behind Skype, Rebtel has decided (and wisely, if you ask me) to bring their VoIP service to the iPad. That’s right folks, you can get Rebtel, completely redesigned to take advantage of the open space, on the iPad. The new Rebtel iPad app lines up the menu and options on the left side of the iPad with all the contact information on the right. The new Rebtel for iPad app integrates directly with your Address Book and will tell you what contacts you can call for free. Of course, this implies they also have the Rebtel app installed. But you’ll also be told which contacts can be called on the cheap. From a cost comparison standpoint, Rebtel’s call rates are a lot cheaper than Skype with calls costing up to 60% less than Skype Out rates. Rebtel is free to download from the App Store (opens iTunes). So, will you be trying out Rebtel on your iPad? Or are you too loyal to the Skype family?
