iPhone 5 To Have 4 Inch Display, Same Width As Previous iPhone’s

With memorial day upon us, we are sort of “unofficially” entering into the summer season.  And along with the summer time festivities such as swimming, beaches, and watermelon comes the heating up of new iPhone rumors.  This summer’s iPhone rumors are all centered on the eagerly anticipated iPhone 5.  Of course, nothing is coming out of the Cupertino complex about the iPhone 5, but who needs them when you have an army of bloggers to facilitate the madness?  The latest rumors, and mostly confirmed in one form or another, is that the iPhone 5 is going to sport a new 4 inch display (some reports state 3.95 inches as the exact measurement).  And the width of the new iPhone 5 will reportedly stay the same.  So we are basically talking about a much longer form factor for the new iPhone 5.  Along with the 4 inch screen, new iPhone is also expected to have an enhanced screen resolution.  According to IBTApple will boost the iPhone’s display resolution from 960 x 640 pixels (at 326 pixels per inch) to 640 x 1136 pixels, an extra 176 pixels higher.  This resolution and size would likely give the iPhone’s screen a 16:9 ratio, which would be perfect for playing videos at their native aspect ratios.  Of course, all of this is still rumors.  We’ll just have to keep our ears to the ground on more iPhone 5 developments unfold.
