Will we ever see Apple release the 7 inch iPad, sometimes referred to as the iPad mini? Yes, it’s true… Steve Jobs was quoted as saying the 7 inch tablet was dead on arrival. It was during an earnings call back in October 2010 when Steve Jobs made the following comments, “7-inch tablets are tweeners: too big to compete with a smartphone and too small to compete with the iPad… These are among the reasons that the current crop of 7-inch tablets are going to be DOA — dead on arrival.” However, time has proven that Steve Jobs may have been a bit premature in announcing the death of the 7 inch tablet. Look no further than the Amazon Kindle Fire for proof otherwise. So with the 7 inch tablet apparently not DOA, there are rumors floating around that in the deep, dark caverns of the Apple labs, 7 inch iPads are actually being tested. Nothing confirmed, of course, but plenty of talk, rumors, and buzz.
