When it comes to Android based tablets, developers are really only saying one thing… “SHOW ME THE MONEY!” So if I’m a developer working on the Android platform, it’s only natural that I’ll want to develop apps for tablets that have the most profit potential. Well that tablet is starting to look more and more like the Kindle Fire. According to a recent study, ”the Kindle Fire drove over 2.5 times more paid downloads to consumers than the Samsung Galaxy Tab. This shows that for tablets, the Amazon Appstore can already deliver more direct revenue to developers than the Android Market.” Amazon is proving that when it comes to tablets other than the iPad, consumers are more interested in content than they are specs. And on the Kindle Fire, you get content galore with the Amazon app store, the Silk browser, Amazon Prime (unlimited content consumption), and access to the massive Amazon store. That’s a tough lineup to beat if you’re in the Android tablet space.
