Intel CEO, “Android 4.0 Needed To Compete With iPad”
Intel’s CEO Paul Otellini said in a statement recently that the “iPad is easier to take on with Android 4.0 ‘Ice Cream Sandwich… tablets are a little bit about hardware and an awful lot about software… until you get to Ice Cream Sandwich, the offering isn’t as powerful as with what’s out there with Apple. As Ice Cream Sandwich tablets start shipping, you’ll begin to see a little bit better receptivity…everything got a little bit better with ICS,” he said, referring to Android 4.0.
We have only just begun to see Android 4.0 tablets show up on the market. And a lot of the promoted Android 4.0 tablets are still being released with 3.2 with a promise of 4.0 coming soon. At this CES2012, it was an Android 4.0 tablet that walked away with the Best Tablet Award, the Asus MeMO 370T Quad Core Android 4.0 tablet.
I’m just sitting here wondering what impact can we expect with something like the Kindle Fire gets Android 4.0?
