5 Tablets For Kids Under $200

As a father of four, I’ve come to realize that my kids (ages 3 thru 11) can easily spend more time on my Android Galaxy S or my wife’s iPhone than doing other activities like watching TV or playing on their Wii.

So it makes perfect sense to me that parents would be looking into purchasing tablets for their kids this holiday season.  But if you are anything like me, then the thought of laying out $500 for an iPad for my 5 year old is not a very appealing thought.

In fact, it’s not gonna happen!  Most of the parents I know wouldn’t pay $500 for an iPad for their kids, but they may be inclined to spend $200 or less – or even less than $100.

When we are traveling, or have a doctor’s appointment, etc… I can tell you that  having a device available for the kids to play on has been a huge help.

Tablets for Kids Under $200:  Best Deals & Tablets For Kids

And if the kids had a tablet, especially while traveling, then they’d be able to not only play games via apps, but they could also watch movies and listen to music – all from their very own tablet.

App developers are starting to realize this as well and there’s a huge market opportunity growing around the tablets for kids genre.

So, I decided to do some digging around and I came up with 5 tablets that I could see myself buying for my kids, and that are all priced under $200.  Like I said, spending $200 or less on a tablet for my kids makes a whole lot more sense than spending $500 or more for an iPad for my kids.

5 tablets for kids under $200

#1:  Amazon Kindle Fire,  Price:  $199

There’s even 8GB of local storage on the Kindle Fire so that you can download games and movies for those long road trips where you know you may be without WiFi for a certain period of time.
