PanDigital 72-70FW product reviews

Here’s a couple of reviews for you to check out about what people are saying about the PanDigital 72-70FW Android tablet:

…. It’s also NOT a Galaxy Tab or any of the numorous other high dollar high end tabs out there.  That being said, lets talk about what it is. A VERY inexpensive, very cool android table and book reader.  I have the white version, it came boxed nicely with everything I needed to get started. It doesnt have access to google’s android market but it comes with a market if its own and I found there were PLENTY of places to get free apps all over the internet.  I found the screen to be fairly responsive, however not as fast as MY Ipad. Thats right folks I have an iPad. I wanted something i could throw in the car or read on the boat or drop accidently without worrying about losing it somehow some way. My ipad cost $700 bones new and I found I really didnt like to take it with me anywhere that it might get damaged.  This unit is not as fast as other extreamly more expensive units out in the world but it really, most definatley, does the job. Convert your vidoes to MP4 and watch movies or wait a bit, VLC is coming with an app that will let you play ANY movie file.  Music player is great, speakers are ok but headphones are better. You can reach out on your home network and access files with this unit (something you CANT do with a MAC) you can also expand its memory both internal and exlernal rather simply.  Screen is bright, controls are responsive and the Open Android software that came on it seems pretty stable.

I bought this as a birthday present for my mom. She enjoys surfing the web right before bedtime and had been using her ipod touch, but the screen is soooo little it’s hard for her to see anything. She is also disabled and there are days that she is in bed or on the couch all day unable to move. I wanted her to have something larger that was a multi-tasker that was easy to use. SHE LOVES THIS TABLET!! It has taken her a few days to get the hang of it, and she says she still hasn’t discovered all of the bells and whistles, but it lets her surf the web without having to sit at a desk where the computer is. It’s also an ereader and the built in Barnes and Noble app is awesome and very easy to use. It also comes with a couple of games (one of them is solitaire, she was thrilled :) )But she has already downloaded a few more from the app store. In my opinion, it is totally worth the cost and I am just thankful to see her so happy.

 PanDigital 7 inch eBook Reader

Ironically, the PanDigital 72-70FW tablet didn’t start out as the multi-functional Android tablet that we know today.  The origin of this tablet goes back to the PanDigital Novel.  Ironically, even the PanDigital Novel was built on the Android OS.

According to Jason Topel, VP at PanDigital, “The transition to a hybrid Android media tablet/color eReader was a natural evolution for the Pandigital Novel product line… the original version of the Pandigital Novel was a color eReader with Barnes & Noble content and packed with multimedia functionality found on many tablets. Conceived from the outset on the Android operating system, the Pandigital Novel was the first non-phone Android device of its kind in North America when it was launched last June. We wanted to take the product one step further by allowing our customers to personalize the product by downloading the apps they want.”

With today’s PanDigital 72-70FW Android tablet, you’ll get the Barnes & NobleBarnes & Noble eBookstore app pre loaded.  Of course, with the Android 2.2 OS, you’ll have access to the Android app store as well, making the PanDigital Android tablet a great tablet, especially for the price of less than $100.
