Sony has been, up to this point, absent from the tablet craze that Apple created when it launched the iPad nearly one year ago. But today in Tokyo, Sony announced they will be launching two new tablets, called the S1 & S2, and both tablets will be powered by Google’s new tablet specific OS called Honeycomb. There was no specific pricing from Sony on the Android tablets, and only commented that the devices would be available sometime this coming fall. Sony wanted to stay out of the tablet market until it had a device it was happy with.
