Most of us are used to iPad prices starting at the $499 mark. With the exception of Apple’s Black Friday event that has them starting at $458 here in the US. But Orange in the UK is ready to dramatically reduce that price down to £199 ($312) for the iPad 3G / WiFi version. The only catch is that you’ll need to sign up for a 2 year plan that starts at £27 ($42) a month for 1GB of anytime data.
Between this news from Orange and Apple’s Black Friday price reduction, perhaps we’ll see the overall price of the iPad start to come down a bit. Especially considering that in 2011, a flood of Android tablet competitors will be coming to market as well.
