Samsung’s Galaxy Tab, the first real iPad contender, is set to get a serious upgrade in processing performance.
Samsung announced at the Taiwanese ARM Technical Symposium that the Galaxy Tab would be getting an upgrade to a dual-core processor called The Orion, according to AkihabaraNews.
The Orion processor will be capable of encoding and decoding 1080p (HD) video as well as outputting to HDMI.
There was no announcement regarding a release date of the next generation Galaxy Tab.
