Creative is apparently not just in the MP3 player business after all. They’ve now taken a liking to the new tablet market that Apple created out of thin air (magically if you will) when they released the iPad.
Creative is set to launch two new Android tablets in the London market. The Ziio 7 inch tablet and the Ziio 10 inch tablet are primed and ready to go…
The 7-inch tablet has a white body and the 7-inch screen has resistive touch and a resolution of 480 x 800. The processor is the ZiiLabs ZMS-08 unit and it has Android Pure Audio tech that is based on the Creative X-Fi sound solutions. The Os for the tablet is Android 2.1 and the device has WiFi inside. Other features include an internal speaker, HD vide output, an accelerometer, Bluetooth 2.1 EDR, a microSD card port, a miniUSB port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Cost / Pricing for the new Ziio Android tablets:
The 7-inch tablet in 8GB capacity is 229 euros and in 16GB flavor it costs 259 euros – or around $360 USD.
The larger 10-inch tablet will cost 289 euros in 8GB and 391 euros in 16GB version – or about $546 USD.
Both of the Ziio Android tablets should hit the London scene next month.
